Torrey and Valerie live in Hickman County and have four boys: Cam-17, Christian-15, Luke-10, and Dylan-5. The Shelby boys have attended Camp Hickory Hills over the years and Torrey served as a cabin leader their last year. The Shelby’s are leaders at Empowered Ministries Church in Dickson, TN where Torrey serves as the Children’s Ministry Leader and teaches the Jesus Freaks class (pre-teen). Valerie is the Assistant Nursery Leader at Empowered and has a women’s visitation group that she heads up there as well.
Torrey works full time as a Deputy Sheriff for the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department. He is the School Resource Officer at the Fairview High School and is a STARS Core Team Leader there for his school. Valerie works at a Christian based company called His Call in Dickson.
Torrey is very excited about heading up the Big Shots Camp. He hopes that the children and Big Shot Camp have an awesome experience in getting to know the Lord this year and hopes to make it a lot of fun for all the campers.
