What is an S.I.T.?
Welcome to the camping ministry for the Churches of God of Prophecy in Tennessee, Camp Hickory Hills. We are excited that you are interested in serving the youth and children of Tennessee with us. If you are a young person wanting to be a SIT (Staff in Training), here is information on how you can be considered for participation.
How do I sign up?
You will need to turn in the following 3 forms for consideration:

Fill out an online staff application.

You must attend a local Church of God of Prophecy and your local pastor must fill out a pastoral endorsement. They may request a link to an online endorsement.

If you are 18 or older, you must fill out a background check. You may download that here: Background Check
What other requirements are there?

You must attend a mandatory training. EQUIP is a training held at Camp Hickory Hills annually. We go over policies and procedures that must be followed by all camp workers. You may look up the EQUIP date on our events page.

Introduce yourself to the directors at EQUIP or through our website messaging. Let them know you are interested in serving at their camp.

Directors may decide to follow you on various social media platforms. Accept their request to friend or follow you. Camping ministry happens year-round. We expect that your lifestyle and behavior bear the fruit of a disciple in Christ. Behavior contrary to biblical beliefs for Christian believers may exempt you from working in the camping ministry.
